ISO 26262 calls for a functional safety assessment to be carried out in order to arrive at an understanding of whether or not functional safety has been achieved for the item in question. The aim of this new course is to train engineers on how to perform in-house safety assessments, complementing existing training that HORIBA MIRA provides in internal auditing and safety case development.
The content of the course builds on HORIBA MIRA’s well-established experience and capability of providing independent safety assessment services to a broad range of clients. The focus of the course is to provide delegates with hands-on practical coaching of performing assessments.
This new 2-day course includes:
• In-depth lectures
• Interactive group work
• Extensive individual and group practical exercises
• Certificate upon successful completion
The course is aimed at engineers who already have practical experience in applying ISO 26262 and a good understanding of the structure of the standard and its key principles. It is recommended that any engineers who do not possess this knowledge firstly attend either the ‘Functional Safety / ISO 26262 Awareness Course’ or the ‘Embedded Automotive Systems using ISO 26262’ course.
