Electromobility Awareness November


The aim of this course is to provide an overview and awareness to typical hybrid and electric vehicle (xEV) architectures at a high-level. The course will provide an overview of a typical EV system architecture, followed by a dive into the relevant systems, subsystems, components and control systems within.

Learning outcomes:

Candidates will be able to:

  • Identify the different types of hybrid and electric powertrains
  • Identify the functionality of EV systems, sub-systems and components
  • Identify different types of communication systems used in the automotive industry
  • High-level understanding EV propulsion and braking system control strategies, at high-level
  • High-level understanding of EV thermal management
